Every year, our team "In Loving Memory of Jennifer Capretta" takes part in the Brampton Brain Tumour Spring Sprint.  We walk to raise money so that some day a cure will be found.

Since being diagnosed at age 22, Jennifer was always adament in raising money to find a cure.   Since that day, our family has been a big part of the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.  Although, Jennifer passed away in 2008, we still walk in memory of her and in honour of those who have a Brain Tumour.  This disease changed Jennifer completely as a person.  No one should ever have to go through what she and so many others have had to.  Jennifer was the most outgoing, fun, joking person that anyone could ever know.  Having a Brain Tumour caused her to be the complete opposite of what she was.

Without the tremendous help of family, friends, and even people we do not know, our team never would have been able to make it this far.  Our family has had so much support in organizing events in Jennifer's memory and continuing to raise money on her behalf.  In the past, our Spring Sprints and Bowl for a Cure events have been very sucessful but this year we have decided to go one step further and organize a gala in Jennifer's memory to fulfill her vision and hope of finding a cure.
